International Arab Islamic Bank signed a cooperation agreement with Yaseer United for E-Commerce, in the presence of the Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation, to provide financing solutions and flexible installment facilities for the bank’s customers to purchase food and grocery products at cash prices over a period of six months, in accordance with Islamic Sharia principles.
The agreement was signed on behalf of International Arab Islamic Bank by General Manager Mr. Iyad Al-Asali, and on behalf of Yaseer by Co-Founder and General Manager Mr. Tareq Ziad Yaghmour, in the presence of Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation General Manager Mr. Adnan Naji and Yaseer Co-Founder Mr. Amer Nasser Al-Din.
The partnership reflects International Arab Islamic Bank’s commitment to expanding its network of approved suppliers and providing value-added services that meet customers’ financing needs through competitive pricing and convenient installment plans, while supporting retailers and enabling them to obtain essential goods and supplies with greater flexibility.
Yaseer is a Jordanian digital platform specializing in business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce. It connects retailers, grocery stores, and points of sale with suppliers and distributors, facilitating the ordering and purchasing of food and consumer goods through an integrated digital platform. Yaseer seeks to develop the traditional retail sector by leveraging technology, logistics services, and financing solutions to help merchants manage their purchases more efficiently, improve cash flow, and access products more easily and flexibly.
The agreement also falls within the framework of the general agreement recently signed between International Arab Islamic Bank and the Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation to guarantee supply-chain financing for retailers, under the patronage of Dr. Adel Al-Sharkas, Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan. This strengthens integration between the financing program and approved guarantee mechanisms and contributes to facilitating the flow of goods and supporting supply and trade activities, particularly for small and micro enterprises operating in the retail sector.
During the signing ceremony, the attendees highlighted the importance of the partnership in expanding Islamic financing options, supporting digital transformation in the retail sector, and promoting financial inclusion by combining banking solutions, financing guarantees, and technology. This will help empower merchants and facilitate their access to food and grocery products under flexible terms, while fully complying with approved Sharia standards and requirements.
The agreement represents a model of cooperation between the banking sector, technology and e-commerce companies, and loan guarantee institutions, supporting the growth of the retail sector, improving supply-chain efficiency, and contributing to the advancement of the digital economy in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
